"mercy" by KiNG MALA
A menacing new single from the dark-pop El Paso-born artist, the track explores the murkier side of her existence but how she is a good person all the same: "Sometimes all you can do is forgive yourself and look for the good... that's what this song means to me.” The track uses classic horror movie sounds, from ghoulish wails to a knife being sharpened.
"I'm Cool" by Jenay Faith
Jenay Faith's sophomore single tosses trap music, Latin sounds, Ibiza dance instrumentals and Caribbean influences into the mix for a relatable song about self-preservation.
"Hold U" by Indigo De Souza
Pairing pure and light vocals with a groove-inducing guitar riff, Indigo De Souza here gives her fans plenty to smile about. Her album 'Any Shape You Take' drops in August.
"Sad Puppy" by PENNY
PENNY supplies wavering synths with buoyant vocals in this bouncy electro-pop number. This is the Huddersfield-based singer's very first single.
"Brand New" by Vistas
Bound to cheer you up, the Scottish band made up of Prentice Robertson, Dylan Rush and Jamie Law have brought out a surging classic rock anthem - head-banging is compulsory.
"Jessica" by Surya Sen
British-Bengali DJ, rapper and producer Rana Ali - or Surya Sen - provides robotic vibes for this future-facing single. The track will be included in his debut EP, which is currently being set in motion.
"toothbrush" by Grace Davies
The singer's first co-produced track with Marcus Andersson, Davies is by now an expert at poignant pop. She has said of the single: "I was quite literally brushing my teeth one day, staring at my ex’s toothbrush and thought to myself “I need to get rid of that”, and I did... And then ran straight to my piano and wrote the first verse and chorus.”
"Growing Pains" by Conor Byrne
Highly-charged vocals guide "Growing Pains" from the Irish singer-songwriter Conor Byrne. The artist's first single "Island in the Sun" went viral, and we've been keeping an eye on him ever since.
"Got the Love" by James Smith
Backed by a chorus of comforting vocals and ripe guitars, East London's James Smith offers up pure solace in music. The 21-year-old has said: “I wrote it for my brother and my closest friends. I’ve found that a lot of younger people nowadays, including myself, are struggling a lot with the pressures of today, such as social media etc.”
"Magnet" by BLOXX
In the lead up to their incoming EP 'Pop Culture Radio', BLOXX have released a magnetised brand new single which makes opposing clashes sound pretty good.
