At just 19, north London's Chy Cartier is shaking up the UK rap scene, channelling her energy into infectious hits and capturing a new wave of hip-hop enthusiasts while she's at it.

Chy Cartier has a fearless approach to rapping. Inspired by the larger-than-life persona of three female trailblazers in rap – Lil Kim, Foxy Brown and Nicki Minaj – and the powerful music-loving women she grew up with in Tottenham, the 19-year-old rapper is rising through the ranks with wise perspectives set to infectious flows and beats.
