To celebrate the release of Lizzo's fourth studio album, 'Special', look back on 10 of her most underrated tracks through the years.

"Batches & Cookies”

The lead single from Lizzo’s debut album, ‘Lizzobangers’, 2013’s “Batches & Cookies” is packed with all the personality and charisma we know her biggest songs for today.

"Lingerie"

Surprisingly one of the least streamed singles on 2019's ‘Cuz I Love You’, but one of our favourites — and Lizzo’s sexiest song yet.

"Phone"

A chaotic and relatable track about the aftermath of a night out, it’s too much to drink, shoe regret, one lost phone and no way to get home on Lizzo’s 2016 track, “Phone”.

“Blame It On Your Love” with Charli XCX

Reworking the ‘Pop 2’ track (then named “Track 10”) with Lizzo in 2019, Charli teased the collab with an image of the pair together — with Lizzo holding a ‘BOUT 2 SAVE POP MUSIC’ sign - and the promise came through.

"Bus Passes and Happy Meals”

An unforgettable title and underrated track from 2013, around the time Lizzo started to break through on the underground scene.

"Betcha"

A rare diss track from Lizzo, from 2015’s 'Big Grrrl Small World’.

“Adore You” cover

An ode to their famous friendship, Lizzo’s Live Lounge cover of Harry Styles’ “Adore You” is a stripped-back version of the ‘Fine Line' classic.

“My Skin”

For 2015’s “My Skin”, Lizzo slows things down with a delicate and powerful mediation on self-love, identity and race. “I woke up in this, in my skin,” she sings on the chorus, “I can’t wash it away, so you can’t take it from me."

"Basement Queens” with Sad13

Made in collaboration with Google Docs (!) Lizzo and Sad13’s “Basement Queens” slipped under the radar in 2016, but still slaps to this day.

Worship

Sitting on 2016’s ‘Coconut Oil’ EP, “Worship” set out one of the messages that would become a key part of Lizzo’s ‘Cuz I Luv You’ album and brand today — simply put — “worship me”.
