Competition terms and conditions for 'Jyoty is On the Hunt for the Next Big DJ'.

1. Introduction

By entering the eBay x NOTION DJ Competition (the “Competition”), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (the “Terms”).

2. Eligibility

  • The Competition is open to individuals aged 18 and over at the time of entry.

  • Employees of eBay, NOTION, their families, and anyone else professionally connected with the Competition are not eligible to enter.

  • Entries are accepted from UK residents only. Entrants must normally reside in the UK and be present in the UK for the duration of the Competition.

3. How to Enter

  • Entries must be submitted via the form.

  • Entries must include:

    • A video recording or audio mix of a DJ set.

    • The entrant’s full name, age, and contact information.

  • Entrants must be following @notion @jyoty @ebay_collectors and @allpointseastuk on Instagram.

  • All entries must be received by Tuesday 22nd July 23:59 PM.

  • Entrants will receive an automated email confirming receipt of their entry once submitted.

4. Entry Requirements

  • Entries must be original work performed by the entrant and must not infringe on any third-party rights.

  • Entries must not contain any offensive, inappropriate, or illegal content as determined by NOTION in its sole discretion.

  • Only one entry per person is allowed.

  • Group or duo entries are permitted (but will count as each member’s one permitted entry).

  • Entrants must be available to perform at All Points East festival in London on Saturday 16th August 2025 if selected as the winner.

  • The file size of any direct email attachments must not exceed 64MB.

  • Any attempt to manipulate or otherwise unfairly influence the Competition or breach these Terms may result in disqualification at the discretion of NOTION and eBay.

5. Judging and Selection of Winner

  • A shortlist of entrants will be selected by NOTION based on originality, creativity, and performance of their submitted mix or set.
  • The final winner will be selected from the shortlist by Jyoty.
  • The decision of the judges is final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding their decisions.
  • The winner will be notified by email on or before Monday 11th August 2025.
  • If the selected winner cannot be contacted within five days of notification, or does not confirm acceptance of the prize, NOTION reserves the right to select an alternative winner from the remaining eligible entries.

6. Prize

The winner of the Competition will receive:

  • A DJ performance slot at All Points East festival on Saturday 16th August 2025, on a line-up including headliner Chase & Status, Jyoty and Nia Archives.
  • A £500 artist fee as part of their performance.
  • A personal styling session from NOTION and eBay ahead of the festival, featuring a curated outfit including pre-loved clothing and sneakers sourced via eBay.
  • Inclusion in NOTION magazine’s digital and social media coverage.
  • Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered.
  • If any prize element is unavailable for any reason, NOTION and eBay reserve the right to substitute it with an item or opportunity of similar value.
  • Travel and accommodation expenses associated with attending the festival or styling session are the sole responsibility of the winner.

7. Use of Entries

By entering the Competition, you grant NOTION and eBay a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and display your submitted entry (including audio, video, name, and likeness) in connection with the promotion and marketing of the Competition and the resulting performance.

8. Data Protection

Any personal data relating to participants will be used in accordance with current UK data protection legislation for the purpose of administering the Competition.

Entrants acknowledge that, in line with the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising (CAP Code), the name and country of residence of the winner will be made available on request to anyone wishing to verify that a valid award took place.

9. General

  • NOTION and eBay reserve the right to cancel or amend the Competition and these Terms without notice in the event of circumstances outside their reasonable control.
  • NOTION and eBay accept no responsibility for technical issues or failures that may affect the submission or judging of entries.
  • By entering the Competition, entrants agree to indemnify NOTION and eBay against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising out of their breach of these Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
