A vibrant new music venue Amazing Grace is geared up to open in the ecclesiastical setting of St Thomas’ Church.
Against the spectacular backdrop of The Shard, a bustling new music venue ready to sate all of your post-lockdown needs will soon throw open its doors.
Taking over St Thomas’ Church, the venue will showcase many of the building’s original features, from glass stainless windows to a mezzanine repurposed for gazing across the dancefloor. Behind the stage, a 3D-mapped wall set will be bedecked with animations to further the immersive experience of live music performance.
Have cameras at the ready – Amazing Grace will boast an original Banksy ‘Christ With Shopping Bags’ as well as an external seating area under a pergola. Peckham’s beloved eatery Mr Bao will provide food for the venue.
Amazing Grace co-founder Vineet Kalra has commented: ‘’We’re thrilled to be the new custodians of this iconic London space. As a team of live music fans, we’re making it our mission to bring the best talent, both local and global to our stage in the coming months’’.
Amazing Grace will launch on October 15th.
