Celebrating the impact their collaboration 'Ocean' is having on dancefloors around the country, ATRIP and KAM-BU sit down to talk their creative process, finding inspiration in the club and how they hope people feel while listening to their music.

ATRIP and KAM-BU have carved unique spaces for themselves in London’s underground scene. Don’t believe us? Just ask Barry Can’t Swim, Disclosure or the other UK dance acts playing out ATRIP’s tracks, or Jon Hopkins, Leon Vynehall and the various producers hitting KAM-BU up for a feature.

On their latest collaboration, Ocean, they show off their chemistry, blending a cinematic electronic soundscape with introspective lyricism to explore the importance of human connection. The single, taken off ATRIP’s TANZPARTEI II (Mixtape), moves between tranquility and raw intensity, embodying the tension and release that defines London nightlife.

At the core of the collaboration is a belief in the power of vulnerability; ATRIP’s production evokes emotion with ethereal melodies and KAM-BU uses the space to tell raw and honest stories about his sense of place and the dualities of city life. Raving offers an escape from our everyday struggles and tracks like ‘Ocean’ personify the freedom of the dancefloor.

To celebrate the song, as well as the impact TANZPARTEI II (Mixtape) is having on dancefloors around the country, ATRIP and KAM-BU sit down to talk about their creative process, finding inspiration in the club and how they hope people feel while listening to their music.
