Step backstage with alt-pop’s fearless new voice, Julia Wolf, as she turns Oslo Hackney into her own high-voltage playground.

Last month, Julia Wolf hit London with the kind of performances that leaves a city buzzing for days. First came an electric support slot for Pvris at KOKO, then a sold-out headline takeover at Oslo Hackney that turned the east London venue into her own alt-pop battleground. Across two of the city’s most iconic stages, the Long Island-born, LA-based singer-songwriter proved exactly why she’s one of the boldest new voices in the game.

The buzz around Julia is impossible to miss. Drake pulled up to her Toronto show and couldn’t stop raving online. Halsey tapped her for select US dates. And her breakout single, ‘In My Room’, not only hit #1 on the Viral US Charts but has racked up over 31 million streams, a track filled with a heady mix of emo grit, shoegaze haze, and unapologetic pop hooks that demand attention.

Now, with her sophomore album PRESSURE cementing her rise through the alt-pop ranks, we caught up with Julia Wolf to talk tour proposals, Twilight soundtracks, and what comes next in her unstoppable ascent.

What went down at your sold-out headline show in London?

You just had to be there….

What else did you get up to whilst in London?

I had beans for breakfast, went shopping in Brick Lane, and saw Drake at Wireless Fest!

Where on your current tour had the best food?

Definitely Boston, we had the freshest seafood and the best bloody mary in a town just outside the city in Duxbury.

Your sophomore record, PRESSURE, came out this year. Have you found new meaning since the release?

I haven’t found new meaning; it’s always meant so much to me. I’ve found inspiration in seeing how these songs take on a different meaning to my supporters.

What’s a memorable tour moment you’ve had recently that stood out to you?

There was a proposal at my show in Raleigh, and it was so cute because he was at my show the year prior! I cried on stage, lol.

What’s on your rider?

Tequila, Beatbox, Halls Cough Drops and Lays potato chips!

Drake came to your gig in Toronto a while back. What did he say to you after the show?

He actually took us out to dinner after the show, and we talked so much about what I want to do in the future and what touring is like for us. He also taught us some Toronto slang!

Where has been your favourite place you’ve performed in your career so far?

I feel like two answers come to mind. First would be Red Rocks, because it’s iconic, but playing my first hometown show on Long Island has to be one of my favourites too!

Anyone who follows your socials knows you’re a Twilight megafan. If you were to come out to any song from the soundtrack, which one would it be and why?

I mean, what could be more iconic than ‘Eyes On Fire’?

What’s next for Julia Wolf?

Some really cool collabs, more touring and a lot more music.
