Beatport, the world’s largest music store for DJs, is bringing its global conference series to Los Angeles this September, offering a full day of inspiration, connection, and cutting-edge discussion for electronic music professionals. Beatport Connect L.A. takes place on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the W Hotel Hollywood, and promises to be a landmark gathering for emerging artists, record labels, and industry leaders. They’ll be hosting a star-studded panel of speakers including names like Sofi Tukker, DJ Minx and Katie Bain, giving you the chance to pick the brains of your favourite dance music icons. 

In conversation with Sofi Tukker, creative director of NOTION, Nicholas Douglas, will chat to the musical duo about their creative endeavours. Known for their genre-blending bossa-nova inspired beats, The New York-based Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern will sit down to delve into their artistic journey, musical inspirations and what’s next to come. 

 

Recognised as Beatport’s Artist of the Month in 2024, the dance music duo gained acclaim through their unique sound, riffing off Brazilian poetry and leaning on both Brazilian and Portuguese influences in their work.
