Polymathic producer-artist tendai takes us behind the scenes of his forthcoming project, the rain, which celebrates his new-found understanding of himself.

tendai has never been an artist to confine himself to a box. That’s why his forthcoming project, the rain, wasn’t recorded in the walls of a studio, surrounded by top-of-the-range equipment. Pitching up in The Raido Room, he invited some of Britain’s brightest artists to offer their thoughts and not necessarily record, but to listen. Bakar, Wretch 32 and Zino Vinci are just a few names who made it down to the DIY space. Like all of tendai’s music, the rain is self-produced, disregarding people’s expectations and making something truly unique.
