BOTZY channels the art of persistence on 'Head In The Clouds' blending sharp lyricism with choir-backed highs.

BOTZY continues to push creative boundaries with the release of ‘Head In The Clouds,’ a standout collaboration featuring LaRussell and produced by Mike Summers. The track marks a bold step in BOTZY’s evolving sound, combining thoughtful lyricism with a choir-backed arrangement and a sense of clarity that reflects his recent artistic focus.

Since his last release, ‘Good For Me,’ BOTZY has been focused on completing his album and refining its visual elements. “We’ve been putting the finishing touches on the album and diving deep into visuals,” he says. That visual strategy has taken him across the country, working closely with directors in New York and Los Angeles to shape a cohesive look and feel for the project.

At the heart of ‘Head In The Clouds’ is a message about persistence and renewal. BOTZY describes the track as touching on “redemption, hard work, and coming out the other side of failure with a clear head and a drive to keep going.” While the meaning is left open for listeners to interpret, the tone of the record makes its emotional core unmistakable.

A major highlight of the track is LaRussell’s contribution. The two artists recorded the song some time ago, recognizing its potential from the start. “It was effortless and a real privilege,” BOTZY says of the collaboration. LaRussell recorded his verse first, which BOTZY says “set the tone” for everything that followed. “He laid his part down and gave me a perfect runway to bring it home.”

Sonically, the track ventures into unfamiliar territory for BOTZY. Summers’ production blends dynamic instrumentation with the raw energy of a live choir, creating an atmosphere that feels both cinematic and grounded. “This one pushed me into new territory,” BOTZY says, noting that it stands apart from his earlier well-streamed releases.

‘Head In The Clouds’ offers a glimpse into the broader scope of BOTZY’s upcoming album. With its rich production, thoughtful collaborations, and emphasis on visual storytelling, the track signals an artist who is fully engaged both creatively and technically.
