Rising indie folk artist Cape Jay releases his new single 'Brazilia', an exploration of emotional self-care and reflection.

Cape Jay has just released his latest single, ‘Brazilia’. Following the success of his earlier tracks, like ‘Not Enough’ and the chart-topping ‘Southern Water’, this rising indie folk artist continues to capture hearts with his relatable sound.

Hailing from Cape Town, Cape’s musical roots took hold in school, where he played guitar in the orchestra. Self-taught and passionate, he turned to songwriting, eventually releasing his debut single, ‘Golden Lady’, in 2022. His music draws inspiration from artists such as Bon Iver and RY X, blending intimate storytelling with a folk-rock vibe reminiscent of The Lumineers.

‘Brazilia’ promises to be a standout track, exploring the complexities of love and relationships. With an infectious backbeat and layered, reverb-soaked vocals, the song is punctuated by a captivating guitar solo. Cape Jay describes it as a reflection on the push-and-pull dynamics in toxic relationships, emphasising the importance of emotional self-care.

While his day job often takes him around the globe, Cape Jay is eager to connect with his audience through intimate live shows in the near future. With ‘Brazilia’, he invites listeners to embark on a heartfelt journey that resonates on a personal level. This new single is an invitation to reflect and connect—don’t miss out on what’s shaping up to be an exciting chapter in Cape Jay’s growing career.
