Re:um stands out from his peers thanks to a constant drive for sonic evolution and reinvention, as heard on his new single, 'Burn (Me Down)'.

With over a whopping fifty million streams to his name, Re:um has established himself as a force in the industry. And as he releases his newest single, ‘Burn (Me Down)’, Elliott Eriksen (the mastermind behind the project) proves why his smooth melodic guitar-led output has earnt the backing of giants such as John Mayer and Stereofox.

Starting out by experimenting with piano, bass and guitar, the London-based artist soon found his voice after intertwining a more traditional sound with electronic elements. This has led to genre-defying capabilities which encapsulate mellow funk, disco house and more. Re:um stands out from his peers thanks to a constant drive for sonic evolution and reinvention.

This hasn’t always come as a positive for the producer, as ‘Burn (Me Down)’ makes clear. “This track centres around burnout, caused by one’s unrelenting drive to evolve and improve at the expense of enjoying the journey and being present,” Re:um explains. “Ironically, making this song was contributing to said burnout, but felt worthwhile.” As the listener travels through a relaxed yet expansive soundscape, one can feel this catharsis which shines through Re:um’s toothsome flair.

Now in his thirteenth year in the industry, Re:um does not need to prove himself as an artist at the forefront of creativity. Yet with ‘Burn (Me Down)’, he continues to make clear that there is still plenty more to look forward to in his already impressive career.
