Carhartt WIP harks back to its workwear heritage in this new spring-summer collection.
Known for its tough and rugged work-jackets and overalls which have long been popular with outdoor workers, American brand Carhartt pays tribute to its roots with a Spring-Summer collection that is both robust and refined.
Offering up clothing for all genders, the collection takes the hickory stripe as its staple, with pinstripe navy shirts matched with starched-white jeans, breezy-blue cotton shirts over striped navy overalls, and a butter-coloured skirt offset by fine grey lines and a simple tee.
Other highlights include a slightly baggy white stripe denim suit and a crisp white button-up denim jacket. Evoking a strong 90s feel, the sturdy cotton fabrics, Carhartt opting for light tones, also manage to feel summery and hazy. The designer’s colour palette also has a nautical edge. Each design is embellished with workwear-related stitching, from hammer loops to tool pockets, and finally emblazoned with Carhartt’s unique woven WIP square label.
