The British talent drops the all-inclusive visuals for her latest beat.

British musician Abisha is one of the UK’s hottest new talents. After the success of her fierce singles “All That”, “Project X” and “Nothing Matters”, she’s back again with a new jam, the soaring “Confused”.

An infusion of alt-pop and R&B, “Confused” is effectively a love song that explores feelings in a complex relationships – let’s face it, we’ve all been there. Relatable and heartfelt, her honest lyrics overlay a mellow baseline, taking fans through a journey of ups and downs. Her burgeoning songwriting skills are being honed by the esteemed Mike Chapman, who is responsible for Blondie’s seminal release, Parallel Lines and has also recently worked with FKA twigs. The two met by chance in a bar in East London and have been working together ever since – a testament to Abisha’s talent.

For the assisting visuals, she has teamed up with Moe Swaleh (who most recently shot the Jacob Banks video), to create an ode to complex relationships. With a diverse cast of couples showcasing all sexualities, the VHS-style video shows the highs and lows of modern day romance and the complexities of young love. And after a year that has been labelled two thousand and gayteen, Abisha cements herself as one of our queer trailblazers for the coming year. A rare talent, she’s definitely one to keep an eye on.
