BINA. takes us from backstage to centre stage of her recent headline performance at St. Pancras Old Church.

Soundcheck with my band. Everything is sounding sweet and the venue is so beautiful!
Time to get ready! Blessing (@blessingk.mua) is one of my favourite make-up artists to work with! Her energy is so lovely, she’s so gifted and came through with the full kit!
First bouquet of flowers came. Such a nice surprise!
Second bouquet of flowers came! Then I ruined my makeup!
The look is now coming together. Olympia Vitalis is on stage, warming up the space with her beautiful voice.
Final moments before stage time. Finishing touches to fit, in-ears in; all hands on deck because we were working against the clock! Styled by Damali Tyson and Francesca Thompson. Wearing: ruched blouse by Minski (@minski.official), skirt by Owen Edward Snaith (@owenedwardsnaith), necklaces and rings by Annabel B (@annabel.b.jewellery), earrings by Uchaworld (@uchaworld). Hair by Leia Wasike (@styledbywasike). Makeup by Blessing Kambanga (@blessingk.mua).
Before I step onstage, it is important to me to ground myself, pray and set powerful intentions with my girls. Girls who pray together...
After a grand entrance (acapella opening up in the gallery by the pipe organs), I’m finally onstage, happy to be playing to a sold-out St Pancras Old Church. The energy is so warm, so present. It makes me smile as I sing!
Getting lost in the music. I really think of it as an energy exchange and I’m really grateful to have been able to lead it, but it’s all of us in it together. Me, my band, the audience. Also, this is the perfect time to meet my band! Adi Hartemann (@adi.harte), Jacob May (jacobm4y), Kit Gordon (@kitgordon_) and Theadora (@theado.raa)
Outfit change! A wet look top by me and the girls (I had initially made a whole wet look top with epoxy resin a couple nights before but it was too stiff to wear and became an art piece instead). Now it’s a cropped blouse soaked in hair gel!
Second outfit change! At one point, my dad comes to say hi, then the glam squad (Damali and Francesca on styling, Leia on hair, Blessing on makeup) get to work on the second outfit. The band keep up the vibes during the changeover. Wearing: Shy studio (@shy_.studio) tie, customised by me, Dams and Fran. Cropped wet-look blouse by me, with help from my glam squad (recreating a wet look shirt against the clock is a big job). Skirt by Owen Edward Snaith (@owenedwardsnaith), and my fave Dr. Martens Adrian Crazy Horse Brown Loafers (@drmartensofficial); Earrings by Uchaworld (@uchaworld)
Back on stage, the soft-rage continues!
After saying goodbye to friends, fans and family, my heart is so full and my eyes are teary. I cry a joyful cry, standing in front of this really sweet message board that my friend Kris had made for people to be able to leave little messages about the show and my new project, Chaos Is Her Name. This message board is truly a surprise; I didn’t expect it and only get to see it after the show is done. Definitely one of my favourite shows I’ve ever done. Very cathartic for me. Thank you everybody who came through, it means the world to me!
