under:tones blur the lines between memory and motion in new synth-soaked single 'Dreaming (Wide Awake)'.
International trio under:tones open a new chapter with ‘Dreaming (Wide Awake)’, a cinematic, soul-soaked track that marks both the beginning of their debut album rollout and the first release on freshly minted label Through The Void Records.
Blending euphoric synthscapes with grounded emotion, the track finds its footing between nostalgia and newness, the kind of golden-hour moment where memory and motion blur. Written between California, the UK, and Italy, it’s a cross-continental collaboration rooted in feeling: analog warmth, digital clarity, and the pull of human connection.
Vocalist Reeves floats over lush production from Neri and Zarcone, with a tone that sits somewhere between wide-eyed wonder and quiet reflection. It’s dance music that doesn’t just want you to move, it wants you to feel.
Shot in LA, the accompanying video directed by Cristina Principe feels like a dreamy coming-of-age short film. It follows 14-year-old Zeno as he navigates growing up under algorithmic surveillance, finding pockets of joy in music, friendships, and freedom. Wired headphones, golden light, fleeting glances. It’s tender, timely, and full of life.
“This song is about catching up with your dreams,” the group shares. “That moment when you stop imagining and start living.”
Set to drop in March 2026, under:tones’ debut album Encounters promises to expand this emotional world even further, with a series of short films exploring culture, memory, and connection.
