Editorial: NEW FACE

Rare Select Models is celebrating a 5 year anniversary, having been founded by Romany Francesca during her time at University. Noticing a huge lack of diversity within magazines, billboard campaigns and social media, Romany took the matter into her own hands. In the founder’s words: “I started the agency so brands, people and organisations can overtly have a choice in having a wide variety of people to choose from to have in their campaigns that represent the diverse world we live in.”

Meet Katie and Beth: a pair of models on Rare Select Models’ books who share Romany’s vision. Katie is a 24 year-old artist living in London, who feels it is “a pleasure to get involved with the visual creativity that the modelling industry is founded upon.” Recently signed to Rare, Beth is a 22 year-old Nigerian painter from South-East London, who thinks “it’s interesting to see a different side to things and the level of professionalism it takes.”
