Singer-songwriter Patrick Staniforth unveils 'English Garden', a heartfelt new single exploring the beauty and pain of connection.

Singer-songwriter Patrick Staniforth has unveiled his deeply personal new single, ‘English Garden’. Known for his evocative storytelling, Patrick once again taps into the heart of human connection, weaving a tale of discovery, love, and loss into an intimate tale.

Inspired by the profound bond he formed with his long-lost brother, ‘English Garden’ captures both the beauty and the risks of opening up to someone new. Meeting his brother for the first time later in life, Patrick found solace in their shared moments in a modest allotment garden—a space that, for them, embodied the essence of purity. Patrick preserves their bond and keeps his memory alive despite the cruel certainty of separation.

Blending warm acoustic tones with electric textures, bass, drums, and delicate keys, ‘English Garden’ balances its deeply emotional core with an uplifting sonic atmosphere. Co-written with Graham McGregor-Smith, the track was brought to life in Berlin by producer Ivo Vollering, who worked on Patrick’s upcoming six-track EP, Pieces Pt1. Fans of Noel Gallagher, Coldplay, Michael Kiwanuka, Fleet Foxes, and Paul Weller will find themselves drawn to the song’s reflective depth and timeless sound.

With ‘English Garden’ marking the fifth release from Pieces Pt1., Patrick is gearing up for the EP’s full unveiling on 7th March 2025.  As he continues to craft music that lingers long after the last note, Patrick Staniforth proves that true storytelling transcends time and loss.
