Arliston enter a new wave of synth-pop with brand-new EP ‘Even in the Shade’, and share a video for “Hold My Wine”.

Made up of Jack Ratcliffe (vocals/guitar/keyboards) and George Hasbury (guitar/keyboards), Arliston now sees Jack and George develop their former sound into a new, evolved indie-rock soundscape. Their latest track “Hold My Wine” is the second track taken from their third EP ‘Even in the Shade’.

Gaining attention with their 2018 debut EP ‘Hawser’, Arliston toured Canada in 2019 and have since received great praise for their joyous sound. ‘Even in the Shade’ is a project written entirely by the duo, and saw them collaborate with renowned producer Brett Shaw (Florence + The Machine, Foals). With their drummer Jordi Bosch returning to Barcelona, band members Jack and George have since further their indie-pop sound through bigger synths, and softer chords.

Speaking about the EP, frontman Jack says: “I think we feel like we’re only just finding our feet with the project and where we want it to go, and that’s a really exciting feeling!” George adds: “We had just lost our drummer, amicably, so we were a little adrift as we started making this EP. The first song we wrote was ‘Mothering’, which was sort of inherently smaller without a drummer’s presence. But it still felt good and like Arliston, and after that the rest of the songs quickly emerged”.
