The Great Escape adds 140 names to their already loaded lineup, featuring Mac Wetha, Moonchild Sanelly and more.

Known for its hotbed of upcoming talent, The Great Escape added 140 artists to its stacked line-up this week. One of the most exciting festivals for new music, the event will host over 450 emerging artists across three days.

At the end of 2022, TGE was named the ‘Best Festival for Emerging Talent’ at The Festival Awards, and many of the names just announced certainly live up to this mantra. From DIY pop innovator Mac Wetha to math-rock merchants Orchards, the line-up spans a range of genres, offering acts for everyone, whatever vibe they may be feeling on the day. Songer, Sprints, modernlove. and Jazmin Bean are just a handful of names who’ve also been announced today.

The festival’s 35+ walkable venues will also accommodate some of British music pioneers and veterans. Kicking off their UK & Ireland 2023 tour, Chrissie Hynde and the Pretenders are set to play the event on May 12th. Super producer Fraser T. Smith is also bringing his Future Utopia project to the south coast, where he’s worked with everyone from Dave to Kojey Radical and Greentea Peng to Arlo Parks.

The Great Escape is set to take place in Brighton on 10-13 May, and tickets are on sale here, ranging from £40-£105.
