London based singer-songwriter and visual artist, SAI, releases new single entitled “G.A.Y” (Good As You).
Blending sounds of 90s soul and R&B, SAI’s latest single “G.A.Y” showcases the singer’s vocal range amongst a rhythmic bassline with support from UK rapper, Young Spray, who covers the bridge with his tongue in cheek flow.
Speaking about the title of the track, SAI states: “I love the song title so much because of its uniqueness and the intrigue it creates! It also sits perfectly with my outlook on life which is to do whatever and WHOever makes you happy!”
Pronounced ‘say’ and backronym for ‘Sing About It’, SAI kicked off her career with a writing credit on Ariana Grande’s debut album and was approached to represent the UK in Eurovision in 2019. SAI is also a classically trained piano player with multi-cultural roots; based in London, born in Manchester and grew up with a French/North African mother and Persian father.
Recently, SAI supported Ne-Yo, Brandy and BoyzIIMen on their respective tours, before she headed back to the studio to record her upcoming EP, which is set to be released later this year.
