Electronic creators eevee and sweeep join forces for a collaborative album entitled 'vandalism and selfcare', revealing unheard track "goodnight".

Both hailed and respected as frontrunners on the electronic music scene, producers – and long-time friends – eevee and sweeep have banded together to create ‘vandalism and selfcare’, a collaborative LP that fuses both of their musical styles. The album is set for release on the 2nd of September by Dutch artist eevee’s own imprint Secret Souls. Wanting to carve a space where she could highlight her favourite music and promote mellow lo-fi soundscapes, eevee created Secret Souls back in 2019. Testament to their longstanding friendship and respect for each other as artists, it’s telling that sweeep was Secret Souls’ first artist to release at the imprint’s inception.

eevee, who has been dubbed the ‘queen of lo-fi’, has seen a swathe of success since first releasing music, having amassed over 293 million plays across platforms. Likewise, Stockholm artist sweeep has made a name for her atmospheric beats and has been prolific, recently releasing her album ‘wake up before u die’ as well as collaborations with artists Sace and Silent Boy, via Secret Souls.

Weaving aspects of lo-fi, experimental and ambient, ‘vandalism and selfcare’ is a project that honours and celebrates opposites, whilst refusing to conform to any one box. Speaking on the collaborative project, eevee and sweeep explain: ‘We’ve been friends for years, while traveling and playing shows b2b, but its only since recently we started producing tracks together. This album reflects the times we had and made our friendship even deeper.’

“goodnight”, an unheard gem from the LP, leans into an entrancing ambient sound and is an excellent pointer at what the rest of the project holds. You can presave the album here.
