Hummel and Willy Chavarria are spreading love through sports with their futuristic new athleisure collection.
Danish fashion brand Hummel has once again teamed up with Mexican designer Willy Chavarria to present their second #5683 collection. Inspired by the numbers that spell LOVE on a mobile keypad, the collection is driven by an inspiring desire to bring people together and foster connections through sports.
The first collaboration between Hummel and Chavarria focused on uniting communities of immigrants and refugees – now the second instalment of the #5683 projects aims to expand their reach to everyone. It’s a lofty goal indeed, but grounded in very concrete ideals, using sports to connect people in the real world, across nations, religions and lifestyles, away from their phones.
The collection of sportswear is as stylish as it is socially conscious – with a striking, futuristic aesthetic combining cool neutral shades with pops of neon and reflective details. The sports tech aesthetic is grounded in Hummel’s dedication to comfy, organic materials making it equally practical. While the series of jackets, hoodies, and shorts draws aesthetic inspiration from the digital age – the collection launch embodies Hummel’s belief that we should step away from technology to find love and genuine interaction.
You can be sure to see athlete and athleisure fans alike sporting this sleek new collection on and off the fields come its launch on August 15th. If it’s a global team of LOVE that Hummel is building, count us in.
