Pop’s future sweetheart Annissa Murad releases summery tune “ice cream mess”.

She may be only 15, but Annissa Murad looks set to have big things in her future. Providing a summer soundtrack with new release “ice cream mess”, the singer urges listeners to put aside their negativities, and live their best lives.

Annissa was classically trained on the piano from the age of four, citing influences from classical legends like Mozart and Chopin to pop punk contemporaries. Merging modern-pop leanings with a distinctly early 2000s vibe, her teenage charm carries songwriting far beyond her years. With previous comparisons to the likes of Avril Lavigne and Taylor Swift, the inspiration for her latest track came from a café in Paris.

Opening the track with “do you ever get that feeling where nothing seems to be going your way?”, “ice cream mess” brims with relatability. About the track, Annissa describes: “I had always wanted to write a song which perfectly matched the feeling when nothing in life seems to be going your way since it’s such a universal experience which every single person has felt at least once in their lifetime, so when I stumbled over the title “ice cream mess”.
