For our ‘In The Works’ series in collaboration with Roundhouse, meet three members as they talk through the nurturing community for like-minded creatives in the heart of Camden.

Since its launch in July 2023, Roundhouse Works (RHW) has garnered a community of 18-30 year old creative entrepreneurs and freelancers, providing a communal working space to nurture each member’s endeavours. Roundhouse, the iconic music and arts venue in Camden, offers a range of support for young creatives aged 11-30, including affordable workshops, studio spaces, and the RHW co-working space. Now, the RHW community has grown to around 150 members all with unique creative backgrounds.

The RHW membership is designed with members in mind, with all memberships working out to £3 a day. As of 1st October 2024, the team has offered 3410 hours of support and access, as well as a 100% member recommendation rate. “Roundhouse Works supports your individuality and creates community at the same time,” says RHW member Stephanie Okoye.

Included in the membership is also a development programme that is tailored to each individual. This features 1:1 business coaching with RHW’s industry partners, where crucial advice such as networking makeover masterclasses, peer-to-peer freelance clinics, and mindfulness drop-ins. Centred on actively increasing diversity within the creative industries, Roundhouse Works offers a vital affordable space to help young talent flourish as they start off their journey.
