Michele Ducci is back with the hauntingly beautiful new single, 'It’s Hard to be Easily Loved'.
Following the release of his debut solo album SIVE earlier this year, the former member of dance-pop duo M+A and hip-hop duo Santii, Michele Ducci, continues to carve out a unique space for himself as a solo artist.
The track, which Michele describes as the first of several new songs he’s been performing live, is accompanied by a stunning video featuring him performing against a backdrop of watercolour paintings he created with artist Letizia Mandolesi. The video’s ethereal, artistic visuals perfectly match the song’s intimate, meditative mood.
With ‘It’s Hard to be Easily Loved’, Michele brings listeners into a world of soft, introspective reflections on love and longing. The song’s gentle nylon guitar strums set the tone, while his warm, almost whispered vocals wrap around the listener like a soft blanket on a cold autumn evening. The chorus swells with the addition of Mandolesi’s delicate vocal harmonies, creating a lush, atmospheric effect.
According to Michele, the song came to life during an improvisation session on a rainy night. “Being loved or understood… can feel like a strange crossing, like the shift of seasons or the quiet moments before sleep,” he explains. Inspired by T.S. Eliot’s The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock, It’s Hard to be Easily Loved, the single is yet another example of Michele’s ability to blend vulnerability with musical beauty.
