June Freedom brings us to his first Men's Paris Fashion Week, where we pulled up to the Jah Jah show as well as the studio.
Fresh off the announcement of his deeply personal new album Casa Mira Mar, Afrobeats fusionist June Freedom pulled up to the fashion capital of the world for his first Men’s Paris Fashion Week. The Cape Verdean artist stepped out correctly on the front rows and afterparties of the season’s biggest shows. From statement fits to candid behind-the-scenes moments, this exclusive gallery captures June’s effortless cool on one of the biggest stages.
First stop: the Montana showroom in Paris for a Jeanne Friot fitting. Linked with my label mate L.A.X and my stylist Margi Van Duren to lock in looks ahead of the runway.
Pulled up to the Jah Jah SS26 show at Dover Street Market in full colour. Sat front row as the Afro-vegan brand turned cultural movement debuted their first-ever collection. Then hit the Nike Gifting Suite to pick up a sweet pair from the Patta collab - definitely can’t wait to hit the streets in these.
Front row at Jeanne Friot with my brother L.A.X - layered in chrome and plaid, posted in the Paris rain. Shout-out to Jeanne for her bold, eclectic vision. Every piece told a story, and we came dressed to listen.
Every show on my last tour, it was Louboutins on my feet. Had to pull up to the presentation and cocktail hour to pay respect to a brand that’s been walking with me - literally.
Invited to the Berluti cocktail evening in a custom look they had pulled for me. Parisian elegance in every corner - velvet stairs, gilded frames, crisp Aperol, and crepes that had no business being that good!
The night was magic. My pre-release celebration for Casa Mira Mar at the Norwegian Flagship Store brought together designers, stylists, and family from all corners. Hosted by Margi Van Duren and the Empire team, who helped bring the vision to life. Having Kel-P Vibes and L.A.X in the room made it even more meaningful for the culture. The energy was rich - African music, art, and fashion all moving through the space. This wasn’t just a party - it was a moment.
Met up with Margi at the LGN showroom to put together the look for the upcoming Louis Gabriel Nouchi presentation. On the way out, I caught the Eiffel Tower in the distance - you can’t pass that without grabbing a photo. Paris just does the most without trying.
You can’t bring a bunch of musicians to Paris for Fashion Week and not expect us to find our way to the studio. Had to take a break from the shows and locked in with the gang at French Theory - hotel and recording all in one, just how we like it.
Really enjoyed being at the Louis Gabriel Nouchi presentation - the energy, the design, the storytelling all came together. The look I wore that day might’ve been my favorite of the whole week. The cut, the palette, the leopard hat… everything about it just felt locked in. Timeless with a little edge - exactly how I like it.
Wrapped my first Men’s Fashion Week in Paris with a Daily Paper gifting and a wild night at Rideau. Empire label mates in the building - linked with Black Sherif, and the floor was full of artists, fashion heads, and energy. Big thanks to my Flight Club team, my label Empire, my stylist Margi Van Duren, and my publicist Florent Farinelli. Grateful to all the designers who dressed me and everyone behind the scenes who made these shows what they were. First one in Paris - and one to remember.
