Kappa, for the first time, has teamed up with Venezia FC to release, arguably, the most stylish football shirt of recent times.
This is a shirt where collaboration and a clearly well-designed aesthetic have come to the fore, fulfilling all the criteria to make a classic shirt and then some.
Venezia is a football club steeped in rich history, with a story that goes all the way back to the midst of their rags to riches promotion back to the Serie A.
It’s the football club’s first collaboration with a heritage homegrown Italian brand known for trailblazing kit creation (KOMBAT). Sporting incredible green and orange stripes nodding to the club’s home clubs fans firm’s signature colourway, there are also gold elements in a nod to Venetian churches and art. Elsewhere on the shirt the lettering “Venezia” replaces the typical sponsor spot. Lastly, gold stars of the iconic Basilica di San Marco are as a “V”. Football shirt of the decade? It just might be.
On its release, the shirt shattered the time-tested gap between fashion and function. This is the first of four collaborations this season between the club and Kappa. Bring on the rest.
