Andrea brings the heat of the summer with her latest inescapably catchy single.
Norwegian-born Andrea has expertly crafted the perfect pop track with her new single, “Kissing Strangers”. Co-produced with Grammy-award winning producer Andre Lindal, behind some of the biggest hits from Justin Bieber and Kelly Clarkson, this saccharine summer anthem reinvents the sad-girl sound Andrea had previously adopted with her lyrics.
“It’s turning a hot girl bummer into a hot girl summer/ I’ll go kissing strangers ’cause I’m bored…” Andrea explains on the track, capturing the spirit of her new sound. Raised in Spain with a Chilean family, the groovy Hispanic influence is evident in this track, upheld by a funky bassline dictating the optimistic mood of the single.
After beginning her music career busking on the streets of Rojales, Spain with her guitar as a teenager, Andrea is now studying music production in London where she writes, produces and performs all her music herself. She cites her earliest musical inspirations as Michael Jackson, Gloria Estefan and the Star Wars soundtrack, though she now resonates more with artists such as Dua Lipa and Billie Eilish.
Following on from her previous singles “All I Want” and “No Thank You” that have already gained Andrea a loyal following, this latest single is a sign of the success to come. Andrea says her music is for all “heartfelt heartbreakers” who want to cry, dance and jump around – all at once.
