Kwaku Asante took us backstage for his recent set at Cloud X Festival, ahead of performing at our 'Notion powered by Popsockets' stage.
On stage with my amazing band in my hometown is special, the Notion stage was a vibe and the response from the crowd was amazing! I even spotted my mum in the crowd and the security let her through to the front to watch the rest of the performance. My mum always has VIP access.
Leaving Cloud X festival with my boy and photographer, Alex Galloway. He made the day a lot easieR, helped me stay calm and took some great film pictures. It was an incredible day and I am proud of the whole team for making it what it was.

Backstage with Elli Ingram, an amazing person and artist who also performed. Was nice to see and chat to so many amazing artists.
With my Auntie and Uncle, who’ve seen me grow up with their son. Having my family come to see and support me was an incredible feeling. Very blessed.
Quick photoshoot post-show... Shout out my stylist Dams (Damali Eastmond) and the designer (Designs By Misemi), who gave me a custom fit and had me feeling like a superstar.
Getting the mic on and preparing to go on stage, lots of anticipation and energy from the crowd. I had to try to not laugh as the fans could see me to the side of the stage getting ready.
Pre-game ritual... Me and the band will always say a prayer before taking the stage. To make sure all the hard work we have done is not in vein and we maximise our preparations.
