Nico Cann’s 'Light Over The Ridge' is a powerful, coming-of-age anthem, blending classic rock energy with modern textures and introspective lyricism.
Rising London-based artist Nico Cann has unveiled ‘Light Over The Ridge’, the latest single from his debut project Silver Lining. Released on 7th February, the track showcases the 20-year-old ICMP student’s raw, unfiltered take on the transition from adolescence to adulthood.
Produced by Thomas Mitchener (Frank Carter, Noahfinnce), ‘Light Over The Ridge’ explores the relentless pursuit of ambition. Nico describes the song as a reflection on his deep need to “win” and push forward, explaining, “The ridge portrays a climb towards a reality that’s reachable, despite all the odds, if you truly believe in what you do and constantly push yourself to do better and better.”
Drawing inspiration from classic rock pioneers like Phil Spector, Bruce Springsteen, and Bob Clearmountain, Nico fuses timeless energy with modern sonic textures reminiscent of Jack Antonoff and Sam Fender. His debut album Silver Lining promises an exploration of self-discovery and meaning in uncertain times.
To mark the release, Nico will headline the Amersham Arms before embarking on a nationwide tour, solidifying his presence as an emerging artist to watch.
