Fast rising drill artist SK-47 hits back with fresh cut “It Was Me”, taken from his newly released six-track EP ‘SK 24/7’.

Rising star SK-47 has shared a brand-new cut, “It Was Me”. The lead single of his six-track EP ‘SK 24/7’, throughout this release the rapper moulds sounds of grime, drill and rap to shape his signature sound.

Officially dropping his debut single “Verbal (Freestyle)” in 2021, this track has since gone on to reach sizable acclaim, and currently has over two and a half million streams on Spotify alone. SK’s latest “It Was Me” unveils the artists’ life stories through classic drill beats and more. Following a year of strong releases, it’s fair to say all eyes are on SK this year.

Speaking about the process of making his new release, SK says: “I made the song “It Was Me” nearly two years ago and it was inspired by Central Cee’s release “Pinging”. In fact, I originally wrote it to the same beat. When Central says “selling them party drugs I’m the one that got the party pinging”, I knew it was mostly lies or massively exaggerated (cap) so I had to make this song to give the music fans the truth from the streets. Hence why I say, “It was me, not Cee, who got the party pinging”.
