Heading out on the Vans Warped Tour, unstoppable pop-rock force LØLØ talks supporting Simple Plan, why she’s in her lover era and her Sabrina Carpenter stacked playlist.

For LØLØ, vulnerability fuels the art she makes. The Toronto-born singer-songwriter has built a reputation for turning emotional chaos into catchy, cathartic anthems, and her latest track, ‘Possibility’, is no exception. A spiralling late-night moment alone in bed transformed into a defiant confession of anxiety, desire, and the ever-relatable struggle to play it cool. It’s that raw honesty, paired with her punchy alt-pop sound, that’s cementing LØLØ as one of music’s most compelling rising voices.

This summer marks a full-circle moment: her first-ever Warped Tour appearance as the iconic festival celebrates its 30th anniversary. Add a European tour with pop-punk legends Simple Plan (and a reimagined feature on ‘I’m Just a Kid’), and it’s clear LØLØ is having a breakout year. But even amid the high-energy shows and jet-setting schedule, she remains refreshingly grounded. Whether she’s dreaming of Milan, manifesting Australia, or deep-diving into robot-love metaphors, LØLØ is embracing the messiness of emotion and inviting us to do the same.

Here, she talks her biggest inspirations, what to expect from her Vans’ Warped Tour show, and who’s on her playlists right now.

This summer, you’ll be heading out on Vans’ Warped Tour and it’s the 30th anniversary this year. What does that mean to you?

It means the world and I am so excited! I never got to make it out to Warped Tour as a fan, so I think it’s really cool that I’ll be performing at the first one I attend! When I heard it was coming back I honestly wasn’t sure I was cool enough to make it on the line-up, so when I got the call I was pleasantly surprised.

What can fans expect from the shows?

I think I have a 30-minute set, so they can expect all their favourites. I’m trying to decide my setlist right now and it’s proving to be very difficult.

You’re also supporting Simple Plan this year. What’s your favourite song of theirs?

My favourite song would probably be ‘I’m Just a Kid’, especially because I got to feature on the Amazon music re-release, and that was probably the coolest thing that’s ever happened to me.

Where are you excited to play this time out?

I’m very excited to perform in Milan in the summer, I’ve never been to Italy and it’s one of the top cities on my bucket list!

Are there any cities you haven’t performed in?

This is a country but I’ve always wanted to perform in Australia. I’m hoping to make it happen soon!

Possibility’ is your latest anthem, capturing the push-and-pull between control and vulnerability – what inspired you to explore that emotional conflict so directly?

My boyfriend was performing at a big festival in Brazil. Brazil is arguably where the most beautiful girls in the world reside, and I was spiralling and having an internal freak-out alone in bed. To deal with my emotions I wrote ‘Possibility’, instead of blowing up his phone. I had to pretend to be chill lol.

What do you hope fans take away from your art?

I hope my art can make people feel less alone and make them feel like it’s okay to feel all the things because that’s what makes us human.

How does ‘Possibility’ fit into the overall narrative of falling in love with robots and wishing i was one?

All of the songs in the album are either about falling for people who seem to lack emotions or being upset that I feel things too intensely. This song definitely falls into the feeling things too intensely column; I really wanted to be that cool calm & collected girl, but it wasn’t in the cards that night. Anxiety & fear very much took over.

What’s inspiring you the most currently?

I’m kind of in my lover era at the moment, which is so unlike me. I’ve been writing some happier songs for sure.

Who’s on your playlists at the moment?

Sabrina Carpenter, Sombr, Sam Fender, The Beaches

What’s next for LØLØ?

I think I’m still figuring that out for the most part. Besides all the shows and tours I have lined up for the summer and fall, I started writing my new album and I’m super excited about it. I’m still exploring what kind of sounds and themes I want to talk about, but I’m very much enjoying the journey.
