Th&o.'s latest single, 'Lonely? (Come Along),' blends synth-pop and electro-funk into an innovative track.

Thando, known to fans as Th&o., has just unveiled his latest single, ‘Lonely? (Come Along),’a daring exploration into new sonic territories. Released on July 19, the track showcases his versatility as a multi-disciplinary artist, fusing synth-pop, electro-funk, contemporary R&B, and fresh guitar elements into a compelling new sound.

In this innovative release, Th&o. ventures beyond his familiar electronic landscapes, introducing guitars into his creative process for the first time. “I convinced myself that this project needed to feature guitars, hoping that it would lead to a different way of creating and ultimately a different writing style,” he notes. This experimentation led him to acquire a Fender Telecaster and a Fender Precision bass, tools that have significantly influenced the track’s dynamic texture.

‘Lonely? (Come Along)’ opens with a groovy bassline that sets a laid-back synthwave atmosphere, enriched by shimmering guitar riffs and introspective undertones. Th&o.’s smooth vocals seamlessly blend with the crisp guitar sounds, crafting a rich and nostalgic auditory experience that feels both innovative and familiar.

The track will be accompanied by a music video, adding a visual dimension to its already engaging narrative. With a notable history of collaboration and production work with esteemed South African artists, Th&o. continues to push the boundaries of his artistry. ‘Lonely? (Come Along)’ is now available on all major streaming platforms, promising to captivate listeners with its fresh sound and heartfelt lyrics.
