Newcastle’s finest soul artist, Beth Macari, returns with her heartfelt release “Love You More”
Following on from the success of her previous feel-good single “Gotta Get Back” which reached #5 in the UK Soul Charts, Beth Macari develops a more sultry, jazz-driven sound with her new song “Love You More”. Written at her dining room table with her boyfriend over some whiskey, the R&B-tinged track functions as an open love letter, showcasing Beth Macari’s organic creativity and versatility.
Speaking on the inspiration behind the single, Beth Macari explains, ‘“Love You More” was initially written as a love letter, creating a story of an intense and deep love, and that feeling of never wanting to be without each other. I’ve not really explored this kind of writing before with my lyrics, I really enjoyed the creative process, and I’m pleased that I was able to create something fictional but that in the end, I could still relate to.”
With support across BBC Radio, Beth Macari has also found a fan in The Pussycat Doll’s frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger, who told Beth her voice “came from baby Jesus”. Keep your eyes peeled – the Newcastle native is set to perform a string of shows across the UK this summer, including a headline show at Newcastle’s top soul venue Hoochie Coochie.
