Kinobe return with cosmic new single, ‘Lucky Stars', taken from their highly anticipated forthcoming album called Out of The Blue.

British band Kinobe, renowned for their quintessential downtempo sound, look set to enchant listeners again with their upcoming single, ‘Lucky Stars’. Scheduled for release on July 5th, this scintillating track has already garnered early support from various tastemakers, setting high expectations for its reception.

‘Lucky Stars’ serves as a prelude to their highly anticipated album, Out of The Blue, which is set to drop on August 9th. The single and the album were conceived at Kinobe HQ, a stunning beach house in Western Australia overlooking the Indian Ocean, and mastered by Frank Arkwright at Abbey Road Studios.

Formed in west London in 1998 by childhood friends Julius Waters and Mark Blackburn, Kinobe quickly became a staple in the downtempo scene with their 2000 hit, ‘Slip Into Something More Comfortable’. Their unique blend of soul, funk, blues, jazz, and R&B, influenced by retro sounds and artists like John Barry and Lalo Shifrin, has drawn comparisons to lounge legends such as Air and Thievery Corporation.

‘Lucky Stars’ is a blissful, trip-hop-esque track personified by delicate string scores and gently strummed guitar riffs. The sparkling flute melodies are certainly a highlight, adding an ethereal quality that sedates you into a warm dreamscape. You can watch the music video premiere below.
