We get an exclusive look behind the scenes of K-Trap and DoRoad's new single "Maths".
Notion has exclusively been given access behind the scenes of the official video for eminent rapper K-Trap’s latest single “Maths”, featuring fellow Drill artist DoRoad.
In the striking visuals shot by Toxic, we see the two rap, head-on. “Maths” is the start of K-Trap’s reinstatement on the rap scene following a short break, teasing the announcement of a long-term project in the pipeline. K-Trap is certainly bouncing back, following up his viral 2021 single “Warm” with this big-energy, highly charged video. The single was produced by Natz Ldn and Ice Digger.
Speaking on the video, K-Trap has said: “Shooting ‘Maths’ was defo a vibe. The beat and the whole song is skippy and jumpy – it’s that kind of vibe where you’ll want to move to it. All the mandem that came to support rocked with the song from early, so the energy was there. We shot the first bit, but felt there was something missing, so we brought it back to the block and did something organic, naturally – got some more man on the block and just put on a show, and it all came together nice. Nothing forced, nothing too crazy, nothing out of this world, just level – it was sick. Maths is a banger, the song’s jumpy, the video’s jumpy, we made it happen!”
K-Trap made his first appearance in 2017 with bouncing off-the-walls single “David Blaine”. Since, his live performances have been highly sought after, his gig at the 02 Islington Academy sold out in less than 48 hours. “Maths” signals the rapper’s unstoppable re-emergence on the scene, as well as establishing DoRoad as one to watch.
