Mark and Rob Brandon - AKA Model Man - create an exclusive mix for Notion, featuring tunes from Bicep, MJ Cole, Luke Vibert and of course, themselves.

Model Man – otherwise known as brothers Mark and Rob Brandon – have been making waves in the dance music scene thanks to their fusion of ambient electronics with elements of bass culture.

Creating music since 2018, the duo have recently released their ‘2005 NYE’ EP via Mahogany Recordings, alongside the new single “Love Surrounds”, a bouncing piano house groove.

On the EP, Mark said, “2005 NYE is a fusion of stylistic elements taken from the soundtrack to our upbringing – house and classical piano. It’s a yearning love letter to the live music scene – the memories and feelings of which were strong in the imagination as this was being written.”

Throughout the EP, Model Man’s demonstrate their ability to conjure both the euphoric and the melancholy. Their classical training has enabled the Brandon brothers to create their own unique space in dance music, a place elevated beyond the samples-only approach currently dominating the scene.

As well as releasing their own original work, DJ Seinfeld’s dropped a dark remix of Model Man’s recent single ‘Why?’”.

And that’s not all – in January, Model Man dropped the six-track ‘Beta Songs’ EP, a collection of dazzling, shimmering, electronic songs.
