Macclesfield-based newcomers Snowdrop turn post-heartbreak monotony into an electrifying anthem on their latest single 'Morning Thoughts'.

On the fringes of Manchester’s indie-rock scene, Macclesfield-based quartet Snowdrop are delivering anthem after anthem. Their sharp new single ‘Morning Thoughts’ takes the melancholy of heartbreak and creates an energetic, cheeky track reminiscent of the 00s indie golden age.

Packed full of youthful energy and painstaking honesty, the track’s makeup rides on the vivacious riffs and melodic hooks, shaped through live performances. “We road-tested it in front of audiences and shaped it by the energy of those nights”, the band explains. “When we finally recorded it, we wanted to keep that same raw intensity, while adding new layers and textures you can only achieve in the studio.”

Raw yet refined, Snowdrop’s vulnerability pierces through the clash of guitars and indie insouciance. ‘Morning Thoughts’ provides the perfect anthem against the monotony of post-heartbreak, as the band carves out their space for themselves and their ever-expanding fanbase.
