Temm, the rising vocal powerhouse, has dropped her latest single 'Move On', promising a stirring blend of emotional depth and melodies.
Following her acclaimed debut EP, Good Decisions, released in 2023, Temm is now continuing to solidify her connection with audiences through her profoundly emotional performances. Achieving distinction through her “magical” voice, as praised by Honor Morrison of BBC Introducing Three Counties, Temm’s music is written to offer solace and encouragement and to resonate deeply with all those who hear it.
‘Move On’ beckons it’s listeners with haunting chord stabs, paving the way for Temm’s commanding vocals – and intertwined with piano-led arrangements. Reflecting on past decisions and seeking solace in the aftermath of a breakup, Temm’s emotive delivery delves into themes of self-discovery and resilience. Despite the emotional weight, the track builds to a crescendo, leaving behind a quiet strength in its hard-hitting conclusion. Drawing comparisons to the likes of Alicia Keys and Adele, her previous releases have blended elements of folk and indie, weaving a narrative of introspection and growth.
Following previous sell-out performances at venues including O2 Academy Islington and Lafayette, Temm’s next upcoming headline will be at The Lexington on April 2, 2024. In anticipation of the release, Temm shares her personal insight into the song’s inspiration, stating, “For me, it’s about moving on from a toxic relationship with myself. Admitting I was destructive with the choices I made – looking for ways to feel alive when I didn’t know how to deal with my trauma/pain. Everyone has to accept their old ways while looking into the unknown future hoping to be braver and stronger for themselves; myself included.”
