slowthai has curated a smiles-only festival called Happyland, set to take place on Saturday 25th September 2021 in Northampton.

To celebrate his number 1 album ‘TYRON’, slowthai is beckoning all music-lovers to join him in his former stomping ground of Northampton – in a field near his mum’s house – for a one-day festival full of fun.

The Northampton Cricket Ground will host a stunning array of trailblazing artists including psychedelic R&B artist Greentea Peng, Notion cover star Shygirl, singer-songwriter Beabadoobee, punk rock band IDLES, five-man R&B group easy life, and fellow Northampton rapper Izzie Gibbs. Winner of the BBC Sound Poll, Pa Salieu, will also join, along with newcomer Ethan P Flynn. Headlining the festival will be slowthai himself – a chance to catch him live after lockdown snatched away his promised ‘TYRON’ album tour.

Happyland will have a very strict and serious policy of smiles “no smiles, no entry”. With the charming East Midland’s surroundings, this shouldn’t be too difficult.

easy life has spoken ahead of the festival, saying they’re “really looking forward to playing with some artists we have a lot of love for, Northampton Cobblers ready!”

With such an exciting line-up, this is exactly what we need to look forward to ahead of the post-lockdown festival season. Tickets for Happyland are available on Friday 14th May at 10 AM here.
