Yep, what was once his go-to phrase is now the title of his seventh studio album, which was teased yesterday across billboards in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Reykavík. While even his closest fans may not have expected the shock release, it comes at a time when there’s a lot of heat on Justin, and so he’s channelled the attention into an R&B record with hints of experimentalism, thanks to features from artists like Mk.gee.
Elsewhere, ex-NOTION cover stars Wet Leg and Barry Can’t Swim are back with sophomore albums, following up their critically acclaimed debuts with stacks of summer tunes. Speaking of which, Tyla’s single ‘IS IT’ channels the sweat-soaked street parties of Johannesburg whilst Odeal offers a more mellow but similarly humid offering on ‘Miami’ with Leon Thomas.
FLO and KAYTRANADA have finally released their eternally teased collaboration, SKEPTA’s out for blood on ‘Friendly Fire’, Amber Mark’s slice of sultriness is a must-listen and Wolf Alice are full of riffage on ‘The Sofa’.
