Fred again.. is dominating the conversation once more, this time with ‘Victory Lap Three’, the latest instalment in his ever-expanding, genre-fusing series. Teaming up with rising Desi hip-hop force Hanumankind, the new version adds rapid-fire flows to a track already stacked with Skepta, PlaqueBoyMax and Denzel Curry. ‘The Victory Lap’ series has already won praise for its explosive blend of UK grime, US rap and Fred’s signature electronic production. There’s no word yet on whether more additions are coming, but if Fred’s recent track record is anything to go by, another unexpected feature is probably already in the works.

Elsewhere in rap, Jim Legxacy drops a love letter to Black British music with his new mixtape, featuring standout track ‘3x’ alongside south London’s own Dave, a track packed with sticky melodies and razor-sharp bars. Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist also return with ‘1995’, a moody, sample-heavy teaser ahead of their long-awaited Alfredo 2.

In electronic realms, Two Shell plunge deep into glitchy atmospherics with ‘Clutch’, while Amie Blu delivers her most introspective track yet. FKA twigs embraces full-blown dance-pop with the glittering ‘Perfectly’. Meanwhile, Blood Orange announces his first album in six years with the release of ‘Mind Loaded’, which features Caroline Polachek, Lorde and Mustafa.

The Last Dinner Party are back too, tapping into something darker and more grounded in their latest release. Skye Newman leans into nostalgia with the euphoric ‘Out Out’, while Renée Rapp closes out this week’s lineup with a scathing break-up anthem taken from her upcoming album.
