Introducing Notion Now, a new weekly list in which the editorial team pick our favourite fresh tunes that we think you'll love. Dive in!

For the first edition of Notion Now, we have new songs by Arlo Parks, Roosevelt, Burna Boy, 220 KID, Dylan Fraser and more.

The music we’ve picked this week spans from house to pop, indie, afrobeats and beyond. Check out our favourite new tunes below!

"Hurt" by Arlo Parks

Premiered last night as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record in the World on BBC Radio 1, Arlo Park's new tune "Hurt" is about "the possibility for joy and the impermanence of pain."

"Echoes" by Roosevelt

Artist and producer, Roosevelt, is back with the euphoric disco-house belter "Echoes". It's almost impossible not to dance to this one (go on, give it a go, we dare you).

"Wonderful" by Burna Boy

Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy, dropped his new album 'Twice As Tall' last week. Whilst "Wonderful" might not be the most high-profile song on the record, it more than lives up to its name.

"Vipers" by Dylan Fraser

Newcomer Dylan Fraser sets the tone for his forthcoming releases with the feverish debut "Vipers". Hailing from Bathgate in Scotland, Dylan is newly signed to Atlantic Records, so we're expecting big things.

"Why Do We Shake In The Cold?" by Elderbrook

Elderbrook's ethereal new song features stunning falsetto, rising synths and an addictive beat. His album, 'Why Do We Shake In The Cold?' is due for release on 18th September.

"Back to Then" by Bklava

The new Ministry of Sound signee is here to save summer (what little we have left of it) with her made-for-the-club jam, "Back to Then". Whilst her sugary vocals and house-pop melody give off an upbeat vibe, the lyrics have a deeper meaning: "'Back to Then' tells the story of both my negative and positive experience with my mental health," Bklava said.

"CUT EM IN (feat. Rick Ross)" by Anderson .Paak

Anderson .Paak links up with Rick Ross on this new song, set to appear on the upcoming 'Madden NFL 21' soundtrack. With a bubbling electric guitar and shuffling rhythm, it's instantly addictive.

"Do We Really Care? Pt. 1" by Future Utopia, Tom Grennan and Tia Carys

A new artist project from super producer Fraser T Smith, Future Utopia has collabed with crooner Tom Grennan and rapper Tia Carys on the first single from forthcoming album '12 Questions' - set for release 23rd October. The record reflects on life's most important topics. Expect features from some of Britain's biggest hitters, including Stormzy, Dave, Kano, Bastille, Arlo Parks and more.

"Lemonade (with Denzel Curry)" by YUNGBLUD

YUNGBLUD collabs with rapper Denzel Curry on the tasty rock number "Lemonade". Speaking of the collab, YUNGBLUD said: “Denzel was the perfect fit because he is a true activist. His lyrics inspire me daily. He is an artist who is fighting for the same things as me: equality and inclusion across the fuckin’ planet.”

"To Be Young (feat. Doja Cat) - 220 KID Remix"

220 KID injects a full dose of dance into Anne-Marie and Doja Cat's pop number. Not only does it transform the song, but it will make you miss the clubs even more. The kitchen will have to do for now.
