‘High’ by Jorja Smith

Fresh from her feature on the new Childish Gambino album, Jorja Smith returns with the tech house-tinged single, ‘High’. Whisking us off to the Balearics, the track seeks to help others love themselves after feeling the emotional turmoil of a broken relationship. “‘High’ is a song I wrote about finding a friend within myself, even through the lows, you have to find the highs”, she says.

‘Gold Mine’ by Aitch & D-Block Europe

Re-uniting after the success of singles like ‘UFO’ and ‘She Like Me’, Aitch and D-Block Europe combine on the salsa-tinged road rap cut, ‘Gold Mine’. Mancunian monotones and auto-tuned croons go back to back as the rappers remind us of their status in the game and why they don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.

‘Aftertaste’ by Katie Gavin

Dropping the news of her debut solo record this week, MUNA’s lead vocalist Katie Gavin’s first track ‘Aftertaste’ marks a new era for the star. Moving away from the synth-pop of her trio (who are still very much together in case you’re concerned), Katie is stepping in to a softer indie-pop sound - although there does seem to be a little sonic ode to their sound with some ‘Silk Chiffon’-esque wavering synths later in the single. The track thoughtfully explores our need for intimacy and the choices we make to find it, the raw track teases what’s to come on her upcoming album What a Relief, out this October, and we couldn’t be more excited.

‘Come To My House’ by Lucy Tun

Heading onto hedonistic dance floors, Lucy Tun proves that she can do it all on ‘Come To My House’. A welcome switch up from comparably trappy singles like ‘Kulture Klub’, the versatile singer-songwriter lures us into her world with a killer chorus, where she demands, Come to my house where the music gets loud and the beat gets down.

‘Margiela’ by Sainté

Resting on no laurels after his debut mixtape, Still Local, Sainté drops ‘Margiela’ just in time for a run of festival performances. Drugged-out 808s and the Leicester-born rapper’s syrupy flows combine in fine fashion while his cadence provides that finesse you’d expect on a track named after a French luxury house.

‘One Wish’ by Ravyn Lenae & Childish Gambino

Rising star Ravyn Lenae teams up with the one and only Childish Gambino on her latest single, ‘One Wish’, a soulful and introspective track. The song, produced by Dahi and accompanied by an Andre Muir-directed visual, showcases Lenae's vocal prowess and emotional depth. As she prepares to release her highly anticipated sophomore album Bird's Eye on 9th August, Ravyn continues to captivate with her ever-evolving sound and artistry.

‘SCREAM MY NAME’ by Montell Fish

Montell Fish unveils ‘SCREAM MY NAME’, an atmospheric track from his forthcoming album CHARLOTTE, out this August. Featuring Montell’s ethereal falsetto juxtaposed by pulsing beats and layered with a delicate melody, the single captures a raw emotional plea for connection.

‘LITTLE TOO LATE’ by Mysie

Mysie returns with ‘LITTLE TOO LATE’, the lead single from her upcoming mixtape CONTROLLA. The track is a powerful anthem about moving on and breaking free from toxic cycles, blending nostalgic vibes with an innovative dance-oriented soundscape. Set for release on September 27th, CONTROLLA is set to spotlight rising star Mysie’s genre-defying artistry and unshakeable confidence.

‘Lucky’ by Halsey

Following on from the Alex G-produced ‘The End’, Halsey is kicking off their new album cycle with ‘Lucky’ a delicate yet empowered track capturing her struggles in the industry and with her health. She sings, “I shaved my head four times because I wanted to and then I did it one more time cause I got sick, I thought I changed so much nobody would notice shit, and no one did. Then I left the doctor’s office full of tears / Became a single mom at my premiere / I told everybody I was fine for a whole damn year, and that’s the biggest lie of my career.” Sampling the Britney Spears’ 2000 song of the same name as well as Monica’s 1997 ‘Angel Of Mine’, the artist explains how much the songs resonated with her: “When I was 5, it always felt like Britney was singing directly to me. 24 years later, these words hit different.”

‘Oh Shhh…’ by Ice Spice & Travis Scott

Ice Spice and Travis Scott's collaboration ‘Oh Shhh…’ delivers a high-energy anthem featuring her signature playful flow and Travis Scott's smooth (and surprisingly un-autotuned) verses. The music video, set against the iconic backdrop of New York City, captures the dynamic duo's vibe with Ice Spice taking on the role of a modern-day Statue of Liberty. A standout track from her debut album Y2K!, it’s a summer must-listen for sure.
