Dream Prescription unleashes electrifying new single 'Out Of My Head', blending infectious melodies and playful yet introspective lyricism.

Following stellar praise, Dream Prescription returns with ‘Out Of My Head’, a bold new single that injects a fresh sense of fun into their adventurous rock and electronic hybrid sound. With its infectious melodies, propulsive groove, and playful lyricism, the track presents romance as a reckless, exhilarating ride.

Opening with a siren-like synthesiser lead, ‘Out Of My Head’ immediately sets a tone of urgency before launching into a blistering modern rock groove. Songwriter Tim Robert’s rapid-fire vocal delivery rides the energy, crafting a fresh twist on the classic girl/car motif: “Hear your motor run / Freeway in your eyes / When you look my way I can’t help but fantasise.”

Yet, as the track builds momentum, its bravado gives way to introspection. The pre-chorus spirals into self-reflection—“The same old song / on and on / can’t get out of my head”—before exploding into an electrifying chorus packed with raging guitars, layered harmonies, and soaring ‘yeah’ vocals.

Robert describes the track as an unfiltered expression of rock’s timeless themes: “I didn’t set out to write an over-the-top fantasy about sex and cars—it just happened. The melody and lyrics came to me one morning, and I decided to run with it. Some might find it a little impolite, but rock music has never shied away from bold themes. Just ask Chuck Berry.”

With ‘Out Of My Head’, Dream Prescription proves once again that they are testing the limits of modern rock.
