Heritage brand and original pioneer of sustainable footwear Palladium is celebrating 75 years by releasing three limited edition capsule collections.

Palladium is a French heritage brand that has been crafting stylish, utility-inspired footwear since 1947. Established as the ‘Uniform of the People’, they’re known for an unmistakable silhouette that may have originated in aviator outfitting, but is now cherished by explorers, fashionistas and festival-goers alike.

Exploring the Palladium archives, the label are releasing three special capsule projects for the Spring Summer season, in honour of their big birthday.

The second, ‘Eco-Versary’, reinvents the classic Pampa silhouette. The reissue includes an all-over Earth print from the design archive, a design that reflects the brand’s commitment to sustainability. The ‘Eco-versary Pampa’ is dyed using pigments made from almond shell food waste; the desert-coloured organic canvas uppers and speckled outsoles contain disused wood pellets and upcycling disused wood.

Not only this, but the lace tips for each style are fully biodegradable and all fabrications have been certified as GOTS or GRS standard. It is this attention to detail that resulted in Palladium taking home the ‘Trophées Enterprises Environment’ prize in 1994, for innovative brands showcasing a social and environmental purpose.

The collection is available to buy at www.palladiumboots.co.uk.
