Patta and AVIREX unveil a bold reinterpretation of the classic Icon jacket, celebrating decades of cultural influence.

Streetwear giant Patta and legendary military aviation brand AVIREX have joined forces to unveil a fresh take on the iconic bomber jacket, merging their distinct cultural legacies into a statement piece.

AVIREX, founded in New York City in 1975, first gained prominence through its high-quality military aviation apparel before becoming a staple in hip-hop fashion by the late ‘90s. Their Icon Jackets also became synonymous with grime in the early ‘00s and remains a staple in the rap music zeitgeist.

If you’re a keen NOTION follower, you’ll know that Patta, established in Amsterdam in 2004, has built a global reputation through its deep-rooted connections to hip-hop, sneaker culture, and community-first approach to streetwear. Together, the two brands pay homage to their influence on fashion with a bold reinterpretation of the Icon Jacket.

Crafted from premium leather, the limited-edition jacket features striking colour-blocked panels in yellow, black, brown, green, and white. The inside lining showcases 20 years of Patta artwork, offering a retrospective on the brand’s two decades of evolution. AVIREX’s 50th-anniversary shield crest sits proudly on the chest, alongside subtle branding details on the collar and zipper. A standout feature of the design is the back inscription, “Patta 4 All,” reinforcing the Dutch brand’s long-standing ethos of inclusivity.

Blending craftsmanship, heritage, and contemporary streetwear aesthetics, the Patta x AVIREX Icon Jacket is set to release exclusively on Patta’s website on March 7.
