18 years in the making, PLAYY.Music is here to put artists in control of their own futures.

After nearly two decades in development, UK-based music powerhouse PLAYY. (formerly THE PLAYGROUND) is pulling back the curtain on a bold new chapter: PLAYY. Music, the first true social music platform designed entirely for independent artists. Launching publicly in July 2025, the platform merges every major tool a musician needs – streaming, licensing, ticketing, samples, jobs, bookings, and crowdfunding – into one seamless ecosystem.

Founded by Warren Morris, whose vision was first sparked during the MySpace era, PLAYY. Music is built on a simple but powerful principle: Your Music. Your Stage. Your Terms. It’s a radical alternative to the traditional industry structure, where middlemen often control access and revenue. Instead, PLAYY. empowers creators to monetise directly, build authentic communities, and own the entire lifecycle of their music. Artists supported by PLAYY. in the past include heavyweights like Ed Sheeran, Novo Amor, and FKJ: a testament to its deep roots in discovering and nurturing boundary-pushing talent. Now, with PLAYY. Music, that mission evolves into a fully tech-driven space built for artists, by artists.

Beyond empowering creators, PLAYY. also centres fans in the equation. Listeners can discover underground gems, interact directly with artists, support them through purchases or crowdfunding, and experience a truly personalised musical journey. “Creating a platform of this scale seemed impossible at first,” Morris shares. “But the need was clear – artists deserve better tools and more control. PLAYY. Music is our answer to that.” In a world where independence and authenticity matter more than ever, PLAYY. Music arrives not just as a platform, but as a movement.

PLAYY. Music will be launching phase 1 of the platform in July 2025 to the general public. Join the waiting list.
