Classic Ralph Lauren silhouettes are reimagined by the Hong Kong based label through a different lens and perspective.
With Lunar New Year just around the corner, this latest joint project from Ralph Lauren and CLOT pays homage to both American and Chinese heritage. The collaboration seeks to merge the differing identities of the two designers and their brands.
From frog button closures on oxford button-up shirts, chambray work shirts and classic polos, to silk linings and dragon patches on chinos, windbreakers and varsity jackets, the collection offers an updated and reworked twist to some of Ralph Lauren’s most iconic pieces. Elsewhere in the capsule, crewneck sweatshirts are covered with blue and white tie dye and zip-up jackets with dark denim constructions. Red accents of the classical Polo Pony elevate each piece beautifully. The collection is made complete with a remix of the Polo Court sneaker.
“I have been wearing Polo since I was about 10 years old and kind of got introduced to fashion via my father with Polo; wearing Polos made me feel mature and special,” says CLOT co-founder Edison Chen. “Being able to dig deep into the brands DNA and adding our touch to it has been a really fruitful and fulfilling experience.”
The CLOT x Ralph Lauren collection is available January 27 in JUICE locations worldwide, juicestore.com, select Dover Street Market stores, Ralph Lauren locations worldwide and ralphlauren.com.
